Gender, diversity and inclusion are buzz words which many of us have heard. Yet, some might find it hard to really grasp what these terms stand for. Then again, funding agencies, such as the FWF, ask that researchers elaborate on how their project may address sex- and gender specific issues. But what does this entail? Research showed that, under specific circumstances diversity within the team can increase productivity. But, what kind of diversity? And what can I do to make sure this can indeed advance our work?
In this workshop we will discuss different aspects how gender, diversity, equality and inclusion can impact working and studying at universities. We discuss how gender and diversity may impact our research and teaching activities and try to find first strategies on how to make use of the diversity within our environment.
